The Renowned Musician Calls On Support to Get Together for Palestine Lullaby to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to launch a traditional song from Palestine to the Christmas number one spot. The effort hopes to provide aid to people in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian cultural expression.

A Chance for Support and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a moment to stand with Palestinians this festive season. He noted the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely disheartened if it doesn’t, Christmas singles are a category of their own.”

Resilient Spirit of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“The song holds a profound significance for a lot of people,” Barghouti explained. “The message is that I would prefer a dignified death than spend my life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Contributing Musicians

The song was recorded after a major charity concert held in September. Originally intended to be captured during the live event, the piece was omitted from the lengthy event due to scheduling overruns.

The notable list of musicians featured on Lullaby encompasses a range of prominent voices from the music world. All were part of the benefit event, which reportedly raised a substantial amount for relief efforts.

Production and Release

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of talented individuals. The track blends a combination of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The group managing the campaign have emphasized that their objective is to raise as much as possible for a specific fund. These resources will be allocated to projects in Palestine through an established charity.

“There is no a specific target,” a representative commented. “We’ll go for the maximum achievable. Obviously, the higher the total, the greater the impact. It all goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The situation in the territory was noted for its widespread damage, with a overwhelming percentage of property reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“In that context, a couple of million won't make that much difference. But I think what truly matters is first of all making this cause better known and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released at the end of the week. Additionally, a full recording of the solidarity show will be made available for streaming on a major video platform from mid-December.
