The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident

The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned game designer passed away following his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
