The midfielder Crosses from corners and set-plays caused problems. Was given room to move on the left only to be in an offside position when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Given a merited rest on the hour mark. 6

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward position down the right and also contributed with dirty work. Showed moments of class and dragged an attempt wide. Substituted late on for a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7

The winger Had England’s top opening of the first half, his shot smartly stopped by Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah hanging back, he had to provide width on the right but his crosses into the box were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

The first a typical close-range tap-in and the second a superb finish with his head after peeling away off his defender.
